Well where do i start..

Had all the seats recovered new foam ect. Door trims, roof linning.
In shorter terms i had the inside compleatly re-done in Black Velour and crushed blue velvet. Very nice job, very tidy.

Im from tasmania, in W.A at the moment but i do have one photo which shows a litte of the interior not the best photo though. P.M me ur e-mail if not already on ur profile and i will sent it to you.

Now the bit that you have been waiting 4 the lot set me back $1900 but i am quiet happy with the finished product. I guess black velour and crushed velvet is very pricie. But any amount of money is worth spending on a mini...

Anton, there is a guy who is around the corner from my joint @ Peakhurst who is a trimmer who works out of his home garage, for cash money, he has done a few hoodlinings for me (for $140 for a new hoodlining) i've always had good dealings with him & always been satisfied with the work, PM me if you want his number.

Hanra, I forgot I had heard thin ply is an excellent choice because it doesn't warp and generally bugger up if it gets wet.
It was suggested to me after I had done my door cards. :(

Yeah the thin ply is really good to work with, it bends easily and can be cut with a jig saw no worries. Nah it dosnt warp when it gets wet, like the original masonite stuff does!!!! You could also use thin MDF but its porus, so if it gets wet its stuffed.

You can also use thin polycarbonate sheet, might be pricey though.

i'd expect $1000ish for a good job.
I know a guy that does it out of his garage after running his own business for 30 odd years, hes semi retired now but he'll work to that price.
that includes hoodlining, seats and prolly door cards aswell i think.

IMO do the door cards urself, they're so simple.
Hoodlining should be done professionally, and if u dont wanna give it a go or do an average job, get ur seats done properly.
comparing the seats i've done now, compared to the vinyl ones i did. phoar!

If ur thinking of getting some more comfy seats, like import seats, my mate and i said we can help the mini fellas out. if u supply the seats i can retrim them (i have a machinist that will do the sewing professionally) and we can also make the brackets up to bolt it from the seat tracking to ur original seat floorpan holes.

if anyone is interested let me know.
we were thinking of $300 to trim and make brackets for both front seats.
but that price isnt final that's a ballpark figure.

if anyone wants to see my triple s pulsar seats that 1 of is already in my mini just ask and i can take a photo of it.
ps. mooman i have the backseat and passenger seat for u, just getting the drivers seat in coz my mate making the brackets is busy.

Do they know it's a mini and there is bugger all interior trim and it's all simple and relatively easy to do?
Maybe if you can get someone to have a look at it they can give you a better price??

Just so you guys don't feel so bad, back in the first half of the year, I had a full retrim (floor to roof) on my renault R8 that I restored and it cost me $3300.

That included recovering and refoaming all seats (with PVC not leather!), underlay and carpet (in car and carpet in boot), refurbishing the door trims, new roof lining and installation.

I wheeled in a gutted but mobile shell, and they did the rest. I drove out in a completed car ready for rego. They organised for the windscreens to be fitted but I paid that guy separately.

So $500 odd dollars for seats only seems OK to me.

Cant help with the seats, liner or inserts, but carpets is a different matter.
This place does moulded carpets for around $100 and they have a delivery charge if I recall correctly of about $15, it isnt on the website but from the magazine articles for an extra $35 they will put into the carpert embossed heelmats with two lines of text.
