Well there has been much talk about Ryno insurance of late. I had made the switch, or so i thought i was going to. Sean was absolutely fantastic to deal with, really good, they are underwritten by lloyds which is also great. BUT BUT after telling them to open a policy for me as of the 1st of May, I think i will tell them not to bother because:

a) the first time they sent me a quote (or failed i should say) the quote with my name and car information was sent to a DIFFERNET person via email as he put in another clients email instead of mine
b) Their claims are all handled externally, for those of you that dont know, it means that a motor enthusiast is NOT handling your claim. its an external assesor and an external claims person
c) I opened the account, or at least requested the new policy be sent out and it did not come, why? becuase they had sent it to the wrong address.
d) I called them up to enquire why I hadnt got it and they then told me they would re send it. Still have not got it.

I am up for giving everyone a fair go, and keeping the big guys competetive, but with service like this for NEW NEW customers i would HATE to see what is going to happen if god forbid i ever need to make a claim. Sean is great, but really everything else just stinks of low prices and poor systems in place at the current moment. I am taking my business back to shannons and i will pay the extra $300 to do so.

Yeah, I'ts a bit scary when you think that they could be same if you were trying to get money off them... :( . I will stay with Shannons because of their reputation for dealing with their customers.

What you pay is what you get. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. End of story.

At least they returned your calls and emails.

I tried about 6 times to get a quote and i have a very good driving / insurance record, they never bothered to come back to me, not sure why??

Because you get what you pay for!!

They just dont have the capacity to deliver on what they are selling.
