i know this is gonna sound stupid coming from a tyre fitter/mechanic but i was reading my mini manual today and noticed it say to put 28 psi in the front and 26 on the back... usually from what ive been taught on a normal size car u put 32-36
I dont know what to put in, if i put 34 it will make the tyres to hard and bouncey if there to soft they will wear badly on the sides...what does every one recommend?
Hey
I come from a different type of car but still FWD.
I have always used 28-30 psi front 26-28psi rear (the rear tyres are really only there to hold the rear bumper bar off the road!) and those pressures have not had any undue effect of the rubber I use (Michelin).
This is in large tyres (compared to a mini) of 185/75/15 but I'd suggest similar pressures for comfort on reasonable to good road surfaces. Will let you know if i chanve my mind when I get my Mini back on the road on new tyres taht arent the original cross plys...
