For a stocko shock they are good, they look and feel the same as Pedders, which are $65 or so each now.
I've run Pedders on the front of the `matic for nearly 10 years now, still good. 8)

I put these on all round about 2 years ago - lasted about 35,000km over 12ish months before one of the rears blew a seal on a pothole while towing a trailer. Not up to competition standard, but good enough for (spirited) road work.

I had them on my Van for over 6 years of daily driving. No issues.

Get something decent... like a set of yellows, i assume this is for your project? i guess red riders are fine for city driving.

Does Pedders brand even have their own factory? I was under the impression that Pedders shocks are made for them by the Australian OEM manufacturers, primarily Mongrel.

Way back when I last bought suspension components, the rumour I heard was that Pedders shocks were just rebranded Gabriels... :?: Which would sort of make sense given Doc's comments. But I could be wrong! :?

I have 10yo Pedders and have also had Gabriel Reds, the Pedders (mine) are Gabriel, not Munro.
Maybe later they used Munros... I dunno.

 just looked under betsy, reds all round. my bad!

they have been on the car since 2002.

yeah, i was looking for options for the front of my project. hmm ill check ebay, the "UK" ones sell for around 99 bucks for two atm, but they are also stock items.

It depends on how much you wanna spend really, and for me, not much! might wait for a bit... but I want to get it rolling!!!!
