Body type YMA2S2, so definitely a Deluxe.
Body number 22003
Engine 9YA/TA/H23027
Colour 1/Sand Beige/3

I'm told it was registered as a 1965 model, but Sand Beige is a 1966 colour. The body number looks to be too high as well but I haven't been able to find a definitive list. Couldn't find a date on the wiper motor at all and it has a new alternator and probably starter motor too so they are no help. Any Ideas?

thanks,
Paul

Morrie 1100 will be able to nail it down to pretty well the moment it came off the line, who was on which shift that day etc etc etc

Dont know if this will help but my Deluxe was bought and reg'd 14 Jan 1966 by its pervious owner who owned it untilj Jan this year.

It has this numbering:
Type. YMA2S2
Car No. 12870
Engine No. 9YA/Ta/H13292
Colour. 1/TOGA WHITE/3
It was even still on its original tyres - Olympic Uniroyal, with re-treds. Im surprised it didnt end up in a ditch somewhere - not to mention it wasnt used very much, about 760 Miles a year.

Hey, I resemble that!
The only bit I can tell you was Joe and Luigi were on that day. 8)
I don't have everything.

I have a couple of handbooks with the date sold
YMA2S2 19316 was sold 24/8/66
YMA2S2 25766 was sold 20/6/67

When you look at Morts
YMA2S2 12870 was sold 14/1/66

So your 22003 looks like it would have been late in 66 or early 67.

The key switch, the dip switch, the boot lock, etc. all have dates maybe you can narrow it down with them.

Thanks very much folks. Guess I'll have to keep looking if I want a 1965 car.

OMG!!! Another sand beige mini - I was thinking that mine was about the only one left in its original colour!

That's OK 1018cc, it's been resprayed so you still have the only Sand Beige car :) It's mostly BMW "Dark Silver", one of the 37 shades of grey that make up the new MINI colour range. I wish they would get a designer who wasn't colour blind... The original colour shows up on the floor and behind the rear seat.
