Makes me cry when there are really only 2 choices for 165/60R12's. Falkens and A048R's. One is too shite, the other is too sticky (I drive the car too much!).

Don't complain about the 165/60R12 choices, at least you have a performance option. There is no such option for 145/70R12.

Can't do it legally, and flares went out of fashion in the 70s. :P :D

I had falkens on all round, only cos they came with the wheels. then one day i was driving home on a wet road. long story short (mostly cos its hard to describe) i went up a gutter at a 45 deg angle but with wheels turned so the wheel rim hit the gutter, broke a big chunk off the wheel. which is why i have 3 'tessas and one steely. gotta get my hands on another wheel...

falkens are shite in the wet, really slippy. but they ahve barely worn down in the year and a half/ 2 years i've had them on there...

Don't be throwing that wheel out, it can be repaired for about 40 bucks.
I've had a few wheels repaired and it works a treat and is really hard to spot even in bare aluminium. Just gotta find a guy in Melb. who does them.
