I just hope all those confused don't drink there milk after the best before dates

Don't worry, you're not the only one having trouble with this simple concept
Milk doesn't have a Best Before Date, it has an expiry date in the form of Use By

. Under the Food Standards Code, product with a shelf life of less than 2yrs which is classified as perishable that could cause an illness or injury if consumed after that date, must by law, have a Use By date. Foods not considered perishable but <2yrs have a best Before date. Food with a shelf life greater than 2yrs (like canned products) need no date per se, but must have some form of identifying code that the manufacture and statutory bodies can trace and recall etc. There are some exemptions, but generally that's what you're looking for.
It is illegal to sell foods which have passed their Use By date, the same does not apply for Best Before.
Having cleared that up, back to normal programming.
