Hi all, i need opinion. I have a 72 van sitting here and i am not shure what to do with it. At the moment it is sitting here, and i use it as a "pick a part" for rebuilding my other mini. I dont know if i shoud sell it, sell it in part on e-bay on hang on to it. It's fairly rusty, but they seem to be quite fashionable at the moment. I am not realy good with resto. Any advice??

Ah have a look for yourself...

Its actually not that rusty - certainly fairly easily restored.

Would sell easily - maybe $1,000 or more - but worth more as a future project .

Definitely looks restorable

Remember that it's even rarer given that its still got side panels instead of windows. Getting hard to find them especially with clubman vans.

If selling probably better to sell complete to keep as many original parts with it

it looks to have one side (passenger) window at the back. i'd sell it to somebody who wants it. not for massive $$$ if they are going to save it.

Yeah, someone may want to restore it. It would be a bit of a job to fix it, I've thrown out Clubbie vans in similar condition (better roof!). I wouldn't have thought it would be worth that much though - it's probably better off as a donor to another van restoration.

If you ever strip it I'll take dibs on the gear shift

I would keep it and hang onto it and do it up as a later project. I would be happy if I kept a van like that.

I am i teo mind, i realise now that they are worth a bit of money (i got it for nothing) but i also could do with the money. It is here and i have no plan to do anything to it for a while and i wonder if selling it could be the good solution. Keep giving me your opinion! :?

Actually time to answers a few question.

1- It's got a window on the passenger side.

2-The number plate is an old victorian one.

3- It's not a trampoline but a sheep bed, actually all the bump or dint in the car are from the animal world.

4- The engine is going

5- Major rust in driver floor plan and under the door on both side, other then that it's seem to be surface rust, but i will not know until i stip it, if i ever do.

6- The bump on the roof can easily be pushed up and beated.

Sorry all but i am comfused to what to do!!!!

Sorry to bring this back...but i have made a decision, i will sell it. For the right price or for a fully re built engine it's yours. If i dont get the right price will sell in part.

So if you have a fully rebuilt engine, it's yours.

So if you have a fully rebuilt engine and gearbox, it's yours.

Or if you have a round nose of same condition, it's yours.

Thanks for your advice. Even if i dont take you into consideration
