hey all

had a strange thing happen today, out of no where i braked and it started to make this strange noise like a grinding type noise.

i have checked the brake pads and rotors they are find and nothing is in between them. and it isn't the wheel bearings because they are quite new and have no play + smooth when turned.

i have a suspicion that it may be the bottom rose join ? :( or something knocking/grinding. this happend at the greatest time aswell just about to go to the gfs house and then partying and then this happend :'(

anyone have any ideas on what it is? or anyone what the same problem.

i havnt surched for this because i wasnt sure what it would be called and i dont have the time to do so. i need this found and fixed asap

PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEE

thanks mini friends :)

Is it coming from the front wheels?

what kind of brakes are on the front? (discs, drums)

Is there any rolling resistance when you turn the wheel off the ground?

If you have checked your pads, and you are sure nothing is touching and there are no stones in there, and that there is plenty of material on the pads then check the large nuts on the end of your driveshafts. It may be you have a worn drive flange, but try tightening up the driveshaft nut first.

This makes a crazy grinding noise when it starts to go.

yes the right hand front side, and it has disks at the front.

is only when you put on the brakes and thats it not even when rolling

anymore thoughts?

Not sure about the not rolling bit, but i would be checking the drive flange nut. the disc may be loose and it is aligning as you press the brakes.

Go over the entire brake hub or get it to a brake place to look at.
