Well went out to MRC today at castle hill for a power run on there dyno. got the car all setup and strapped in, set the boost controller to 8psi and of it went.

He ran it in 3rd gear and we got it pinging up in the rev range, he said the timing is out a couple of degrees, also fuel was was WAY to rich. It still made 131hp (98kw) at the wheels (175hp at the flywheel).
He said that we wont run it again till i get the timing sorted and set my regulator up with a gauge to run it a bit leaner. There was raw fuel coming out of the exhuast and heaps of black smoke, he said that it is safe to drive and is better than running to lean.

With the fuel regulator setup and timing aswell we can push it up to 14psi safely and should be around the 180hp at the wheel mark. Im booked in for the 21st for the tune up and another dyno, so no racing for me till then :(

Bit of bad luck their mate but thats what the Dyno is for...
Now you know whats needs adjusting and on the 21st shell be sweet as you have need felt before...So much for the 12 pound boost you'll be on 14 8)
Only a week away mate you can wait till then...you'll be smiling for Christmas and New years

Can't be too upset at that figure for an unsorted engine 13sec!!!!!!!!. As Gaf said, can't wait to see the figure for 14psi and running the right mixtures....... should be quite the handful :o

thanks guys, but trust me it will make a heap more power, similar setups to mine are running around the 200hp@wheels, should be close to that, but then i will prbably have to back it off anyway to get the thing to move with out going through a set of tyres every week :)

Oh and my 3L magna V6 makes 70kw at the wheels
