You can get glass polish from places like Autobarn, not cheap! Have not tried it yet but they say it will take most marks off glass.
Cheers Pete

Hi guys,
Light scratching can be polished out but, as a guide, anything you can feel with your fingernail probably won't. Here in New Zealand, there is a windscreen outfit called Novus. Tthey have a special electric polisher that mounts on the glass and polishes the mark with a special stone.

Regards
Al

We also have Novus throughout Australia and i suspect its a multinational franchising concern.

I think novis is good for chips and cracks but deep scoring may be a bit beyond its limits.

Cracks, chips, scoring and sandblasting are all defectable here, at least in NSW although unless its really bad its rarely done by the highway patrol. Except maybe, if they need a reason to get a hoon off the road.

Oops - meant to add where the damage is in the direct line of vision of the driver.

When I bought my car someone had run the wipers on the car. (One side didn't even an end on it, just the metal arm.... )

So I bought a new one, which was was fitted for 120 bucks I think got the reciept somewhere, but I also bought new rubber and chrome look locking strip too, so it cost a lot more thna 120 bucks.

PS it was a laminated one, the place had it in stock, which is great! Cant remember which company it was though.
