Leave it silver. I only like clubmans when they're LS's... silver or gold.

Why?

Because I dont particularly like clubmans in colourfull colours. some yes. But generally I prefer the silver or gold. Because clubmans are a mean looking mini, and I dont think they should be painted a pansy colour. But thats just my opinion.

The silver on the LS is about the worst silver invented. It fades like nothing else. The gold is only slightly better.
The only thing worse than the LS silver is the LS blue. 8)

Nobody has answerd this...

What about the blue ones? 8)

What blue ones??

My personal opinion.
Mate i have a silver one and i had a good hard think about it, and i decided to stay with silver.
There is an LS for sale on the net and it is blue, it just doesn't look the same.
At the end of the day ask yourself how long are you going to keep it, as the original paint was bad, long term probably change the colour, but if you want better resale...??? up to you.

Good luck anyways

people are getting confused - the 1275LS was only in silver and gold, while the earlier 998LS came out in blue.

How long have you had your mini for?
what are your plans for it?

Cass

i live in brisbane, i bought the ls about two weeks ago, it needs some work, has a little rust, but i'm looking forward to restoring it. Future plans: all new interior, clean the rust up and paint it,mayby work the engine, not sure yet. it's going to be my weekend car so it will look nice and clean hopefully when i'm done

Is this the one you've been doing the engine conversion on ? if so it'll be highly modified anyway and original colour won't matter too much .

Hear hear with the blue LS. Sally is 1978 998LS and her blue is beautfiul.
She has the blue vinyl roof to match her as well.

I say paint her watever colour you want, everyone has their dream car so go ahead and make her your dream car :D
