Hi all

Sorry I made a mistake, my two K's are 3/71 and 4/71, both with burstproof doors.

Cheers
Steve

I bet that there is an overlap of dates. 8) I am not saying that they made Ks after they started making Clubbies. What I am saying is that they stamped the compliance plates when the car was about to go to the dealer, not when the car was made.
So in theory a K may have sat in the yard at Zetland waiting for an order and a new Clubman may have just come off the line, had the compliance plate fitted and been driven straight to the Rosebury motor registery.

Hi

Is the figure of 400 quote in this thread a genuine proven number, or a chinese whispers type reputed number :?:

I'd be interested to hear from all owners of these last "400" with their engine, car numbers and build dates.

If you could please pm the details of your car including original colour I'll post results.

cheers
Steve

i've heard the last "400" many times, but i've never heard it being a confirmed fact.
my wiper motor says 9/70, but the plate on the firewall crossmember says 12/70.
so it was built in 9/70 but was sent off in 12/70.
my mini k has clubby door handles and clubby tail lights
