worst thing about it is when all the chicks think its a vdub beetle. realy annoys me.
the good times though are awesome, sticking to the bumpers of my mates lancers and civics, and paying em out for getting beat by a one litre with wheelbarrow wheels. none of my mates will drive wit me for some reason. dont no why though. other than that im a heaps better driver than them. safer without commodores thinking the road is clear and your there, pretty scary times.

My best story would have to be when my brother was driving my Mini and he left someone behind at the lights. At the next lights he stopped next to them again and they asked if it had a rotary in it

It is a 998, and the only mods it has are extractors and a ramflo

I drove min to work yesterday and had a smile all day. Some people toot their horns, others stare and others don't raise an eyelid. I did have someone call out but not sure wether it was meant to be abuse or what.

Its fantastic coming up to the lights and knowing that the person beside you is wanting to give it a go. The few times i have done it i let them go first mainly because i'm trying to pull the clutch out real easy (the pedal is extremely hard) and then i just floor it - its just funny after that

Yep most people smile at my baby. minis are a icon of the motoring world what i like most is when im out on the open road and someone in a holden vectra or something of the same class get close behind you and kind of bully you. Then put your foot down and bang you are gone.next town when stopped at a set of lights see if mr holden vectra looks at you i think not then you laugh

The real joy these days is to be parked and see a woman of my age walk past the mini and just smile to herself. I can look at her and say - yeah I know !!!!

And I bet you stand taller and suck your gut in as well Mike... I know I do but the problem is I can't stand any taller being a short arse and the gut wont go as far back as it used too.... :?

I get plenty of nice comments about my LS from people of all ages...

Its really good to see some super powers from these Minis, jsut awesome. But not noticeable doesn't mean it isn't. You've transformed it into something else. By the time it beats another car (say liek a skyline), soon people will realised there is something extraordinary going on.

IMO, If it isn't a Mini engine there, it ain't really a Mini anymore. So it's a bit hard to say it's a classic car as soon as it deviates from the original design, etc..

Yeah, but it is good since it could give a chance to let people see how great Minis are when you do a conversion on it. It's very light, so with good enough power, it can compete with most fast cars like Skyline, etc.
