Hmmm , just caught up with this one again , it's all sounding like a lot of hot air to me , surely you've exhursted all the exhaust gags by now ..... Tiny , why don't you go talk to a mechanic and see what they say will suit .

BOTH of your suggestions , including the one of the EXHAUST coming out in front of the rear wheels , have been approved by the mechanics you work with and your EXHAUST guy ? Seriously , are you sure they're not setting you up and laughing behind your back ? This is the stuff most people do to first year apprentices

well the one with the the exhurst infront of the rear wheels they said to ask someone else cause they were to sure about mini's, they thought it was legal cause they have always known it to be some many inches from the back door , not the windows but every here says windows so that idea is out of the window, the other 2 options were fine juz meant it would mean some moding, the exhurst specialist said that the twin exhurst with the twin tips should be good and will sound fine but to be sure he ask me to next week take it over to his work shop and test it out, he has offer to make up a set to test out and if all good he'll make a proper one

Joe , slow down , take a breath and use a few full stops in that post so it's readable .
Just have a talk to a reputable mini place about a good exhaust , most likely an RC40 muffler and whatever chrome tip you want to put on it to look fancy . Looks don't matter really , so long as it works and sounds good .

Writing is one of the oldest forms of communication. It comes second to talking. If its not done properly with punctuation and correct spelling then you are not properly communicating.

Its sort of like speaking half in english and half in gibberish. Like a drunk asking you directions two minutes after he has fallen out of the pub.

Some of us have been having a lend of you this evening because of the spelling and grammar in your posts.

You do need to think about what you are writing and how it is spelt and punctuated because what you think and what you write are sometimes two different things. If you dont you are losing many benefits of this form of communication.

I say this as a friend and as succinctly as possible.

Hey Tiny,
Remember at the dyno day, imo the best sounding car just had an RC40 type exhaust, thats what I am going to put on mine when i get the motor done...

I was told my LS with the RC40 attached sounded good that day but then it kinda blew a hell of a lot of smoke out the pipe and I was the first to close the door, remember?

I reckon you can't go past the 1 3/4 pipe with RC40. It's what I'll attached to my next mini.

my 2c- go buy an RC40, they actually WORK and give more power than most.

Haha, wonder is the dearest child of faith :D :P ... ;)

Erm - let`s get serious: Postings without full-stops etc. are sort of :D exhausting to read...

If you got such troubles deciding which exhurdle is the best for ya Mini I`d recommend going to the next big Mini-Meet and take a look around.

In my opinion one of the various RC40-variants will be the best choice, they`re relative cheap, sound like there`s real power and look decent.

Chers,
Jan

Hey Mike - are you sure it was the Zorst that set your heart racing and not the vixen driving it...dont get too excited now(I think I have a poster with her on it beside the Bini so will try and find it for you and really get the Mk 1 blood pump going...lolol)

To add - RC40 or a local Lukey - I keep saying it and it is a cheap alternative ($125 fitted)

Hahaha - nah it was the EXHURST not the vixen. Notice how recently on the US cop shows etc, the lead female stars are no longer twenty year olds but now fairly well preserved forty year olds.

My wife likes to see lots of dead bodies lying around so I am subjected to all manner of CSI's.
