im glad all u old men can sit back and say "p platers this and p platers that".
I know that P platers drive like dickheads, are irresponsibile, immature and have no respect for others on the road. BUT, they're not the only ones.

For everytime i see a P plater being a dickhead, i see 2 fully liscenced drivers doing things just as stupid.

I myself speed on a rarity, take my car passed 3 grand once or twice a week, and always indicate and drive with curtisy, im not sure if that's just me but it's how i ( a p plater) drives.

I think the real thing that p platers and all other dickhead drivers need, is a close accident. i dont know how they could do it. But my attitude to driving changed HEAPS after having an accident, even tho i haven't ever crashed with me behind the steering wheel. I have crashed a number of times with other people. Each time it could have gone bad, like dead bad. And since then my driving has changed so much.

The thought that gets into these guys heads is; "it won't happen to me, it happens to other people". And the only way they'll work out that car accidents happen to anyone, the sooner they'll smarten up and correct their driving.
It's all in the state of mind.

Invincibility kills.

To true mike, but... P Platers equate to alot of the acciendents on the road, thats a fact, thats why they are going to change the law. Yes there are alot of idiots on the road, and not all P Platers are bad drivers. But the fact remains that a 17 year old kid that has never driven before should not be able to go out and drive a car that has huge Horsepower after 3 months learning. That just doesn't make sense.

Cheers

Aaron

Im prolly one of those 'dickhead" p platers mike is referring to  but....its not the actual cars that cause crashes its the DRIVER...just becoz the car is a v8 it doesnt mean it GOES fast some1 has to control it...my solution is ban the drivers not the cars.

Get a `flyoff' handbrake like mine, ... then the black lines on the road will be shorter..
