Thats just what happens when you buy and sell anonymously, taking their words as gospel and not making a judgement with your own eyes.

Ebay is nothing more than a glorified Trash And Treasure market.

Ive had the same. Won something with no other bids, so the price was really low..... and the guy never answered my ebay emails. Eventually I got a reply from some other email address under some other name, saying to deposit the money into some bank account. I told him I wanted an official ebay invoice to be emailed to me with his bank details on it, to which he got nasty.

And the sad fact is - even if you did nothing wrong, if you leave a negative comment you'll always get one back. Its best just to not leave one at all.

Like most people here know I sell some stuff on Ebay. I have a good reputation because I keep my descriptions as close to 100% as possible. I have had the odd Mishap with both buyers and sellers. I have bought and paid and never received the Item and I have sold and people complained that the item was received Broken. If I sell for example a pair of Angel eye headlights and one is received Cracked even though it was not my fault that the Postal service decided to crush the packet ! I have had this happen and I sent the person a free replacement without them even asking. I have also had this happen and the buyer never even complained to me and just went and gave me bad feed back ! Giving someone undeserved bad feedback will only come back and bite your back side. Don't expect some one to give you Good for Bad. When you buy on Ebay check the sellers reputation. If you win an Item and don't hear from the seller Just go through the steps and report them to Ebay. That is the only way to keep Ebay clean and a good place to shop.

We have 466 ebay transactions and a feedback of almost 400. Been a member since 1999. In all that time we have only had about half a dozen frustrations. We both buy and sell.

Like some one said, ebay is good and its an efficient way of buying and selling. Go in with your eyes open and if something goes wrong go through the dispute process to weed out the undesirables. Paypal is also a good and reputable third party money handler if you are dubious about direct depositing monies. Also with Paypal you have right of redress should it all go wrong.

Yeah,
As most of you would know...We (Minisport1275) have a fairly high feedback rating (2772 of that we have 1164 stars, 100% positive)

We get the odd customer that decides that he is not going to make contact with us, if he doesn't within about 2 weeks (which i think is fair enough) we will open an unpaid item dispute. If after 7 days they don't respond to you on that you can close the dispute, this then allows you to leave negative feedback without fear of getting one back. (oh and they also get a unpaid item strike).

We try not to give negatives even then because the customer is still a mini owner normally and you will kind of shoot yourself in the foot by pissing him or her off.

We would rather that customers talk with us regarding any problems, this then allows us to get the best possible outcome for both parties. I mean everyone is human and stuff happens (even on our end, however we do try to prevent this as much as possible)

Andrew

P.S. if you do get a moment have a scroll through our feedback (page 13) and have a look at the last buch of neutrals we got! it was really strange.....what do we do as the customer is asking for us to leave him feedback now? (we where going to leave it).

Andrew, just leave a neutral in return, and in the comment just state that there were no known issues and you would have left positive feedback if they did.
