Do we see any one saying GET RID OF US THE MILK. No.
If some one who is going to kill themselves in a car want to go and buy a car, they will.
If someone allergic to milk to the extreme of death if taken, wants to buy milk, they will.
So i think the problem is milk. :?

Umm
Ok

As i have whinged about many times before. P platers limits down here are 80k's. And not many of you guys knew that. Its real crap when i am sitting at 80 and massive double trailered woodchip and log trucks belt up behind you at 120, on small country roads. And all other cars - but trucks are more scary - They get so far up your ass, that even my drum brakes would cause me to be hit if i used them, and they are shocking.
Down here. WE NEED A P Platers speed limit increase.
Its too Bloody dangerous. Cars see us. They Know we can only go 80. But they leaving to the last minute to slam on the brakes, coming up behind you at 30 k's more than. Yourself. To put it sweetly. it scares the fiddle sticks out of me. People are wankers. I hate everyone
:(

Settle petal.... You are not alone as a youngun who is monstered by jerks who don't know how to drive on Freeways or the open road. Its endemic out there mate. I can bet I get an instance of Freeway/open road stupidity every time I set foot on one.

People just can't seem to help em selves these days....they just do not know what is right and what is wrong on the open road....take my trip to Bowral yesty....

quickly change to right lane after 'hole cuts in too close after overtaking not realising that when you make a hole in the air in front of a car ...hey!!...it goes faster!!

get upset with 'hole sitting in my blindspot for miles in right lane at same speed waiting to force my to drop 20 clicks behind the truck coming up in the distance.....what he should have done (but was too damn stupid to do  ) is either speed up and get past you or drop back, be courteous and let the "trapped" car (me) pull out smoothly and regain left lane (nooooo its just a stupid power trip thing....).

I held back and flashed lights to a fella towing a trailer I came upon closing on a truck and he didn't know what to do...practically had to get out and deliver a hand written invitation to step out in front of me to pass the truck.

Several 'holes sitting in the right lane permanently and to hell with anybody else

Just an average trip up the highway....

SELF PRESERVATION - PEOPLE - BE CAREFUL

ok this is to stir up the oldies
if the modern day rockets are so dangerous explain this
by the time my dad was my age he had rolled, crashed or blown up about 6 cars
i am yet to do such thing, closest ever came was wore out car from trip from WA to QLD
old cars were slower but had crap brakes/ suspension/ tyres
new cars are fast but have good brakes/ suspension/ tyres aslong as well maintained
EDUCATION & TRAINING!
when i got my first car i was 16 was a little pocket rocket
i loved to drive it fast, not speed but fast (give it heaps to get to 60 ect)
could tell me not to and wouldn't listen so dad did somethin better
if you gonna go fast then learn how to drive fast (eg smooth gear changes at high rev's)
speed and fast driving are not the problem
its keeping it within the limits of the vehicle and people have to learn the limits
a twin turbo soarer/ skyline and the rest are safer at 100km/h then a old corolla or bombadore
i ride a 250cc sports bike daily, my dad rode it, he used to have 1000cc moto guzzi and said that my bike was dangerous on highway cause of lack of power and stability because it was so small it would drift over the road to easily

Hey!! I resemble that remark!! You have to get up pretty early in the morning to stir up the oldies!!

I agree with you 100% on the first point, the cars around when I was a lad were not as well maintained (generally) as they are today (disposable income not the same mate!) and I agree that modern cars are very forgiving and safe compared to some (non-Mini) cars of say the 1960's.

Don't forget however that some of the rollovers etc could simply be put down to tyres and shocks.....only enthusiasts bothered with Konis or sought out descent tyres etc. Crossplys were however "predictable"

So agree with you, you should appreciate the sophistication in cars we now all take for granted and concentrate on defensive driving techniques!!

Tend to agree with your dad on the bike.....can't beat a little stability on two wheels....if he says it is light.....then be careful applying the power and in windy areas.

has anyone ever heard that they are going to put speed cameras in the cat eyes on the road.. it is a pretty smart idea.. hidden but deadly i say  .... and i recon the defence driving course will be a fun way of learning the road rules if it doesnt take me about 20 tries to get them right  .. and just for the info.. me,my dad and my brother might be opening up a car garge dealing in all performance parts, installing and repairing them on all cars :D

as a footnote does anyone have the right to say young men arent responsible enough to have fast cars, when we deem them responsibe enough to defend our country and defend our way of life..

Because Danidad, they are highly trained. they are not allowed to do crap unless they have done the training, past the test, practised it over and over and over and over and over again, then they go and train some more, with a bit more training on the side then they have a little practice with a bit more training. THEN they may be allowed to do a small crap. Later on after much more training and practice they might get to do a big one.

Was there something someone said about training?

This topic is dead i think.

I will now attempt to revive it.

Looks like people need swimming training too; don't see people complaining about people getting gobbled by sharks.

Apologies to those who were offended.

You are more likely to get hit by a bus than eaten by a shark.

Theres a couple chicks at my work..... i wish they'd eat me

yeah, i read on a website your odds of being attacked by a shark are less than dying from a lightning strike or even than dying from a bee sting!
