Does it still come with the resident huntsman? He's well travelled now.

Well, we had a very productive day in my garage.

Rod (Oscar)was first here just after 8am - he only lives a few minutes around the corner. Louis and Emma arrived soon after with Henry on the trailer, engine mostly ready to be lifted out.

Erin got out of bed somewhere around 9.30 or so, Dylan crawled out about half an hour later and Poeee rocked up about five minutes later. Then MiniBob arrived but by then, Henry's engine was just about out and on the ground.

Started to take Henry's engine apart and when my Mrs arrived home from work at about 12 ish, we were all standing around the engine, surveying what needed to be done - new pistons, re-bore, crank grind etc etc.

In between this, we loaded up the trailer with Adeee's mini and took it to her new garage. Then, when the hoist became available, we lifted Erins re-built engine into Elle.

So all in all - a great day. Thanks to everybody who helped out in any way including Brett for the loan of your trailer with resident huntsman spider  and to Rod's son for transporting the crane/hoist in the back of his brand new ute.

Cheers

I came back later to adjust my rear brakes so the handbrake was at 100% functionality for Sunday's motorkhana.

Don't think the MGCC guys were happy... I was alot faster than I was anticipating!

Great review Rodney, it's what the mini community is all about, should be more of it.

Yes, agreed!

I have a few mates locally who help each other out with projects. Changing a gearbox, assembling a shed, whatever, it's more fun with a few mates! :D

Yep, a lot of work for my bank manager (Emma). You forgot to mention the timing chain  . I had the best day in a long time, learn so much from you guys (Especially that a re-built is expensive) I absolutely enjoy every second of this day, dont know how to thank you (wine anyone :D )

Really need to sell the van now.

Thanks again so much, they are still really good people on this planet, and i think they all around Geelong.
