I was just given a 998 cc motor (one cylinder has seized and scored the bore) but I pulled the head off and the numbers on the head are.. 12A 1456 SM..
Anyone tell me if it's an original head from a 998??

It is a standard 998 head.

Yep that's what it is.... early (non-smog) 998.
