Ah sweet as, thanks for the tip! i might just get a new switch even if mines not stuffed, saves it going bad later on!

If no relays are fitted, then it is not an earthing problem. Hig beam and low beam use the same "earth" (negative lead to ground) from the back of the headlight.

it could be a loose connection or bad earth....... i dont know if any 1 else had said this but yea i be checking me connections to make sure they are nice and tight
