Well thanks to mokesta some photos are up of the mini and the half cut. the mini has been a ground up resto that has taken me 3 years and it should have rego withih 2 weeks. It's just got a 998 in it and drum brakes (for the moment) I'll just drive it around till i have everything ready to go for the conversion. the half cut is a beauty, only 85000 klm's on it and i got it for $2,000 . I bought it from CVAP in shepperton (vic) Andrew Vibert is the owner and could'nt have been more helpful,he's going to get another one in so check him out
cheers hallsey

Good work Hallsey, and not a bad halfcut either.

Good luck with it.

Cheers,
Tricky

I'm think I've got the hang of the photo thing.
Heres a couple of photo's of stripping the half cut, man wires everywhere.
I'm struggling for time as both my kids race motocross, so I'm away 40 to 45 weekends a year. So its out the shed of a night but its a bit cold.

Well I thought i'd take a step back and show the build of the car. I bought 3 mini's all within a month. the 1st was from a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays. I got receipts an inch thick on all the work she had had done on it by northern mini's, which also included a fully reco'd 998 which had had 3 months use before I bought the car.the only problem was she had been T boned and had pretty much stuffed the car,so I picked it up for $400 bucks.
The 2nd car was a hairy lime green with a pretty good shell but the motor was tied.I got this for $450 and this is the shell I used. 3rd one was a fully rusted out sunshine but had mags,extractors,2" system and factory tinted glass, got this one for $250
I was so keen to start the build I did'nt take any photos of the cars before I started but here are some into the build.

Welded in some floor pans ,boot floor and bits n pieces.
