went to take the slidemonster for a run tonight and when i pulled the garage door....... i was greeted by an ever increasing puddle of hydro fluid   . I must be a slow leak due to the fact that no fluid has found it's way onto the paintwork, just slowly dripping from the valve head itself.

Am i correct in assuming the valve is shot and needs to be replaced??? or is the problem something more deepseated???

Also, what is the procedure for replacing, i'm gathering that it is empty that side out (this being the passenger's side in my case) remove the valve and replace or recondition it, then refit and pump it back up................

Merry Christmas Steve, from your mini.... Slidey :x

Steve,
They are just a Schrader tyre valve. Push it in with the valve cap until all pressure is gone, unscrew it and immediately fit a new one, tight- pump back up. Helps if you have a hydro pump....
No need to vacuum it, as you haven't disconnected any pipes etc so air hasn't got in.
