what is the differance i can buy a dellorto and manifold 2nd hand for $50 but i already have a webber (and in love with the sound)on my aubergine. would it be alright on chokes 1100

I had a 40DCOE on a gooseneck manifold on my Rover 998.
Went hard... very hard.
Had to play with the right pedal a little softly under about 4000, but over that it absolutely loved full throttle.
All the way to 7000 rpm. - standard A+ 998...


So to answer your question, yes it will be alright on an 1100

Weber DCOE or Dellorto DHLA, take your pick, no friggin' difference in performance really. I prefer Dellortos, they're cheaper and I find `em easier to jet properly. :wink:

I raced Minis at speedway for years and have always used Delortos 45DHLA. They work real good once choked and jetted right. I have never tried Webers as I always found it easier to obtain Delorto carbs and parts. Even when I used to go to malta and england they were easier to buy and also more popular.

i used to love my weber on my 1360... it was almost as loud as my exhaust, which was loud enough to get complaints from my gf's neighbours.

There is absolutely no difference in the sound. Gurgle is the same.8)
Dellortos are a bit harder to find chokes etc for here now, I get mine all sent from www.dellorto.co.uk
