Howdy Folks,

Well, I just got my Camber Kit from the UK. Front AND Rear ... yippee!!:D
Fitting it up this week hopefully and then getting alignment done.

Ive heard with adjustable lower arms and a negative camber the pot joints can seperate... !! Anyone have any experience with this? Is it just a matter of making sure you use new circlips?

Any tips or horror stories about fitting or running adjustable all round?

Before people say 'Why' ... the answer is because I have 1/2 a degree positive on the right, 1/2 degree negative on left... 1mm toe OUT on the rear and its crabbing... so I got the whole shebang to sort her out nice! .

Edit: Couple of people have also said throw in HiLo's while your at it.. to really set it up right... so I may just do dat but will see if my kid will lend me some $$ hahaha

i got everything adjustable - havnt driven it too much as only just got it legal but so far so good!! handles excellent although the wheel alainment shop was a bit pissed as it took them ages to set up right

just with the tie bars i used one standars bush and one hard bush cos i read in calvers articles it was better to do that as hard bushes on both sides stressed everything out,

My tip - Take it to a mini suspension specialist to set up the geometry. And get Hi lo's. You might aswell get the ride height right first.

And why is it crabbing? Is the shell bent or subframe not fitted properly?

There is a case down here where a rear camber kit went out of adjustment...brand unknown. So maybe have a way of quickly checking the alignment every now and then after fitting.

Alignment always goes out. Rear camber must be the easiest measurement to check....all you need is an old carpenters level.

I have run pot joints on my race car for over 7 years with (at times) 2.5 degrees negative camber without any problem.

Best ones - as Mick says some can go out of alignment but these have serated edges to lock them in
