I stopped using NGK's a few years ago - same reasons.... they'd just stop working, particularly after being fuelled up and then left for a while (as per Doogie's experience). Also a bad batch of Optimax ate up a couple of sets of NGK's - I put Champions in and they survived the bad fuel and are still in use....
