The only picture I have (and a poor one at that) is a centre cap that has the map of Australia in the centre and has TASMAN curved across it. Above the map of australia there are two or three words that follow the curve of the centre cap.

I would like to see if anyone has a picture of what is supposed to be there that is relitively clear. I would like to get some stickers made up to stick on my new centre caps. I know that the emblem is cast into the centre cap on the real ones but that would be even more costly getting that done!

Please show me what you have.

<edit> this is the only pic I have (yes, it is a picture of a picture - lucky it is very much clearer than my camera can capture and I can't be bothered scanning it.)

<edit> added poll

Thanks for the email Colin. I think yours certainly looks better than the pic that I have so at this stage I will be going with yours.

Cam (Mini Mulisha), can you still post up the pic that you have? That would be great.

Cheers, Nick

Thanks for that Cam, those pics are great - only 1 problem......I don't know which one to choose so I feel its poll time!

So its either:

or

Colin I hope you don't mind me hosting your picture.

Both are relatively easy to replicate with a sticker, the otherone looks like an old period speed design with the checks etc on it.

Goodluck!

Depends whether you want to trade on them as being Australian period speed equipment or just period speed equipment . I said the map version as the other looks a little generic .

do you have MK1 wheels, or MK2 wheels - I'd assume the first one would be original to the MK1's

I have 4 MK1 wheels and 1 MK2 wheel (for use as a spare - its not getting the treatment the others are getting).

The map version is the type that should be with the wheels but I like both and I don't really care which way I got with them - that's why I have a poll happening.

I'll give it a couple of days and see what the outcome is (of the poll) - whatever it is that's what's getting made.

Aussie map one will look much better in my humble opinion! Other is nice too, but just not quite right for the look of the whole setup.

What, me fussy? never

Are you supplying the artwork to the printer to print the stickers? they usually charge for the size, with a minimum (A4 for example) size they will charge to. find out, you may be able to fill the remainder of the 'print area' with something else, even just spares of this one. Just an idea.

Hey Nick,

You have probably already thought of this, but make sure when they balance the wheels (rim/tyre combo) they do two things;

1) take the time to get the tyre in the right spot on the rim, with older rims not the qickest as the marks are non existant, however a good balancer can do this pretty well if they need to. you just need to convince them they need to!

2) put any balance weights on the INSIDE of the rim so they do not show when on the car!!

Helps if you take the time to chat to your tyre bloke and explain what you want, as well as organise it just after ordering $800 worth of rubber, puts em in the right mood to be helpful!!

Matt
