go to bunnings or whatever, but then they cost a bit..
better to borrow a compressor and buy 4L of paint and a tin of thinners from paint supplies or some such.

I use rattle cans a lot at work for touching up conveyor frames etc.
If buying YELLOW, get extras. The pigment is very thin, coverage per can usually lousy. :x

well despite spending a lot of time on prep, the paint didnt last a month in the summer.
then it sat in the weather for the next 5 months waiting for a short motor
and completely ruined.
it was the crap paint :x
it looked soooo good after i'd painted it.

I touched up bits of HaHa's 13 year old acrylic paint with Holt's spray cans. (Ford Red Flame = BMC Jet Red)
This was years ago, it's now the best paint on the car!!
(OK so the paint is mostly crap, it's waiting for a respray, when my paint `n panel mate gets time... SOON!)

as spaceboy said, as well as being better ittd work out cheaper to just get a 4l tin of acrylic and do it.. spray cans are ok but you cant limit the pressure its applied at, which means you cant do little tricky areas well etc.. also you can fan out the spray gun so that you dont get streaks, very important when spraying a metallic colour (if thats what you want). but before you spend all your money on the top coat.. get the preparation spot on and your almost there.. average preparation = absolutely horrible paintwork... another thing, if your not worried about how ittle look in 2 or 3 years time, spray it with enamel, no work rubbing the thing after its applied then

Not sure what paint "Rust-oleum" is but it seems to come up OK here using a ROLLER????

http://www.rickwrench.com/50dollarpaint.html

LOTS of sanding involved by the sound of it. But then there always is with paint jobs...

Wow - that's a really good job for $50 I reckon and it appears to be holding up too!
