well i did my rear engine oil seal so i had to remove my flywheel.
i had never done this before but have seen it done before by my father and grandfather.
I managed to undo the bottom engine mount and radiator bracket and then jack my engine up on one side. i removed all the bits and pieces which i was quite proud of (bell-housing, air-intake thingy, starter motor coil).
i was able to undo the big bolt that holds my flywheel on no worries.
then i had my problem.....
After i had removed the big bolt and the metal tab thingy that holds my flywheel on. I set the fly wheel puller up with the bolts and had a turned piece of rod that sat betweeen the puller and the crank. and started to turn the puller with like a 30inchish shifter, and am pulling and pulling and i stripped a bolt (i didnt do it up far enough), so got another bolt and went again. I got dad out there to help me he mounted the screwdriver in the ringgear and he and i pulled with all our mite and it would not pop. Dad and i thought it should have popped but we kept going thinking it was tight we kept pulling and the fly wheel puller was becoming warped. I went and saw a mini mate and told him what i had done and said i had pulled everything off. He said just keep going and he didnt think i would bend the puller because it was made from an old flywheel. I were beginning to think it had welded itself onto the crank. I went and bought a 2meter long RHS bar to give me more leverage and continued to pull but it wasnt moving and the puller is now bent/warped. I kept pulling and stripped a bolt again so went and bought another abolt. i was about to reset the puller and thought i had better get dad to check it for me....
i hadnt pulled out the washer bit on the crank. The puller was pushing the flywheel center towards the radiator and the bolts pulling the flywheel towards the driver side guard. No wonder it wouldnt pop. OOPS!
anyway i got it off and in the process smacked meself on the top of my head pulling my 2meter pole and put a big ding in dads boot

because it nocked me over and the mini was there to brake my fall.
But it's sorted now and a new seal is in. now i have to put it back together
well now i know what to do and have to put it down to a learning experience.
