We were at officeworks on epping road. in the carpark, we were about to leave and waited for a RAV4 to go past, which it did and cleared. the carpark is a one way system. so i reversed out as i saw no more incoming traffic. out of habbit i check out to my right to find the woman in the rav 4 barreling back at speed in reversed. BANG!
She admitted fault sraight away and was very apologetic.
Our son was in the back and caught the brunt of the impact. He has been cut up badly on his face and has surgury to clean up and fix everything up, staucnh bleeding etc. Ambulance, police, sirens, we had the lot.
She was charged with neg driving and something else, i don't know what.

Car is just a car, my son is our only concern. but thankfully he will bounce back, but will be scarred.

Cheers
Aaron

Only thing that will be an issue is the B pillar sturctural intergity, as the van's are weak already. and the window fram, it's bent and badly. You can't get them so that will either need to be made or a 2nd hand one bought(unlikely)
I'd like it to be repaired but i feel it'll be written off because of parts.
Cheers
Aaron

Did you have Aiden with you at the time?

edit: read the rest. crap Aaron, that's unfortunate.
All the best to the little one. He's a good kid.

I've got a Rav (and a Trav) and honestly you have to be so careful reversing, you can see bugger all out the back window. I'm really sorry to hear about the little bloke.

Sh*t!

How is Aiden? I just read this... as said... fark the car.
Is he cut from glass falling on him or getting hit?
Anything broken?
What did the surgeons say?

Jesus, I just saw you two the other day... my son is similar age, I am gutted...

I wish the three of you the best... truly.

Pete.
