Ok, Ok. I wasn't having a go, just trying to emphasise a point - that if your mini isn't starting the fuse box isn't the place to go looking for an answer. And that several elect. things can go wrong at the same time (on a mini this is usualy the case :( ) w/o there being a link b/w them neccesarily.

If it wasn't for ALL the replies, I wouldn't have got this sorted.
Obviously the fuse has been a problem for quite some time I just hadn't noticed it.
It was Mike's prompt to look elsewhere that got me checking the spark plugs.
I can't believe what a difference the new set of plugs have made, the motor jumps to life when I turn the key, probably the best $15 anyone can spend on their mini.

Thanks again :D[/u]

actully 90 percent of electrical with mini's can be traced to the fuse block rermember even you got rid of the uslless fusebox
tim maybe even replace the plug leads and get the points done as well you may find the car will go even better also sus on the distributor cap the little contacts inside get a build up on them replace that as well it will surprise you how much power you can lose frough them being old and manky
