I actually do two of these. I use to dig a hole and pour it in, good for the environment I've been told , that was until the dogs dug it up and decided it would be fun to roll around in. So now I pour it in the old empty oil container and take it to work and chuck it in the dump master.

I guess it will end up in the ground too, just far enough away from my dogs :?

Previous houses I painted the fenceposts with it but this time I put the fence in with treated hardwood and star pickets so no need . Wonder what other uses people have had , I saw your chainsaw bar oil suggestion  , I use all new oils on the saw and always have , seen to many dodgy subbies trying to get their crap equiment to run using cheap oils to try that ...

i think its illegal not to dispose of it properly...

i put it in old oil containers and leave it sitting around cos i cbf taking it away, but also because when we run out of oil, i'll have a supply.

'Other'

I take it to work, we have to have a disposal bin in our Fuel depot, so it can just be put in that.

i usually dispose of it at a petrol station, just leave it round the back in any old dodgie container, ice cream containers, milk bottles,

i had this idea with a ice cream container filled with oil, i want to leave it out side (hate this pub because of the poeple who go their) of the blue gum hornsby, some drunk jock is going to be a smart ass and stomp on it or kick it,
