HI all ok this is urgent as my mini van has been chosen to go into a film featuring a mini but the touch ups required to make her camera friendly have drawn a blank on the paint codes.
right the colour is yellow devil and the paint code is 566-17422 the first code is to say its dulon but the other codes we can get on any paint register and to top it off it needs to get done tommorrow.
Is there any other paints out there that are 99.9% identicle to the original yellow devil colour and ill update you all on the film very soon.

Most paint shops should be able to match part of the original colour....look in the boot (up under the parcel shelf...still should be pretty original) or behind a plate on the firewall or behind the dash etc etc :D

The Dulux book lists Yellow Devil as 17422. All the Aussie suppliers will use that code but I am not sure about NZ.

17422 is only called Yellow Devil and is not known by any other name. (sometimes two companies will use the same colour with two different names, example Leyland Hi-Ho Silver is Toyota Silver Flake Metallic)

With today's technolopgy they can do that to the film Change the colour of an object. They changed mine to left hand drive in the "Thorn birds". with my 1936 Fiat Topolino. All it needed was Rome numberplates in reverse. Worked a treat.

A million is a lot

Is this some sort of experimental new technique, photography essay, art nouveau filum where colours have to be 100% accurate....the whole film process and viewing medium manipulates the colours anyways.

[and oh by the way....colour number xxxxx can vary from brand to brand slightly as well]

:?

ur obviously not a painter.

standox are using a machine taht matches the colour atm. put it on in 3 places, magically it makes a paint code, mix the paint and bam, perfect match.

your right im not a pianter but the car has 4 differnt shades of yellow on it and then yellow pigment is one of the hardest ot match along with red due to fading so taking readings (which we did) didnt work.
I got the codes and the right pint match has been made now.
ill show phoots on the next few days.
