I'm really failing to see the bit where it even remotely looks like a CLUBMAN?

What freaks me is the stuborn LHD only side / suicide door, great for rear acces straight into oncoming traffic in RHD countries!

BMw cheapskates, 1 shell only....... US and Euro LHD call the shots!!

And it'll be complied to be legally driven here like that . Same as the Holden (chev) Suburban thing a few years ago , the right rear seat was the only one that would tilt forward to get kids out of the very back seat so you had no choice but to get them out on the traffic side ....

Are they making a hybrid version?! :P

The head of MINI Australia was claiming that if you have kids in the back, then you can get them out of the car in the same manner as a normal MINI, via the passenger's door. Additionally he claimed that they never intended to target young families with the car. Sounds to me like spin from someone who has no voice with head office.

If I was going to downsize I may have considered one, however with this door situation along with the review the New Cooper S got in Wheels in a head to the Golf GTi and the new Civic Type R, the Clubman wouldn't make my short list.

Do we know the retail price for one of these?
I mean, does an extra side door and large boot hinge add say,
over 10 grand the price tag?
If it's expensive, it'll boost sales of an S model, but might be a dud itself.
Nah, someone will buy it.
:D

it's on my list for a replacement daily driver 2nd half of next year (pending a drive of course) but only if BNW sees the light and brings up the euro diesel and a cvt/auto box - if I want to drive a manual I'll take one of the toys
