my plates read N PU55Y. I think they are fun, cute plates and suit the mini well. The URL for my web page is http://www.pu55y.isonfire.com

The meaning to me is when something is going great it means you are "On Fire"

Seems a few Canadians and an American from another board find that URL extremely offensive. Am I missing something? I can sort of see what they are geting at but if I was going down that path there were plenty of other choices. I have just had the URL made into a windscreen sticker, but thee guys have me worried I'm going to be offending everyone.

Your genuine thoughts?

Chris,

Personally i like it, and i think its funny, and original.

If some people are so tightass that nthey think its offensive bugger 'em!

Stuff like this happens all the time.........

Example the much heated debate over the Hype DC store in the city, which had blow-up dolls as choir singers in the window.

People cried that it was offensive etc, while others thought it was simply a funny joke.

Thats what I'm thinking. I'm deeply offended by blasphemy, yet the blow up dolls is quite funny I think. THere is humour and then there is insults

I am not offended by it, but, i can see where some people would take issue with it. If pu55y was relating to your cat (jaguar), i think that would probably change people's perspective of what it is your rtying to get across on your plates. As i said i'm not offended, but i am interested as to what you think your plates represent...

We used to own a cafe called mudcat, our logo was a cat's face and I had the name on one of my previous minis so the plates worked in well. What attracted me to them was 1) They were available, 2) It's not like I paid to get custom plates made, they are a clever use of words and number which I thinks is more humerous than just paying $400.00 per year for the word pussy on your plates.

I'll agree with that. what the hell were they doing looking at sites with those names anyway???

Ya know why we call em "Seppo's" now?

Sorta reminds me of the speech at the end of "Team America, World Police". Sorry I cant repeat it. Americans may read this post, and find it offensive.

P.S. I am not trying to start a war over this. I know many american's that I would call my friends. But the pervading amount of knobbers in the country that have nothing better to do than harp at names of websites, is just bloody ludicrous.

I think it was the fact that the comment not only had a go at my URL but also basically called Australian's backward. This is comming from someone who lives in a country with a major identity crisis. THere is still a major percentage of the population who can not and do not wish to speak English.

THis is what won of them wrote

I too think the name is a bit behind the times. No one would be taken seriously with a (url) name like that in Canada. I'm not judging, but it is a reasonable observation having grown up in a more progressive society. In other societies it just may be marketable.

Here's a nifty trick to do in america......go to one of those restaurants where you book by name, and book in as the wally party. they will happily page the wally party over the intercom cos they dont know what a wally is.
Australia dont become america!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mate I would not worry about others. What is offence to some, is not to others and vise versa. We all use to call out cats..Pussies.
If you were to call your car Balls would you be upsetting others

Dani I love the change from Shihad to Pacifier.....Some you stick in someone smaller to shut them up  and the Idea of that the little one is cucking on

Mate your plates allown :!:
