hahahah good on ya mike...actually i do work with truckies day in day out coz most of us have REAL jobs. im sorry to say it but any boy (male) at the age of 17 wants to become a professionl or Doctor Knitter is a little queer....these arent just my views either. Most truckies are top blokes however they r a few "dickheads" out there.

Mate , I think Dr Trims right you really do have your head up your arse
I personally am not a professional but i take my hat off to anyone that is
I spent 20 years in soft furnishings & 3 of our employers were ex crims that learnt to sew in jail, theyd be pretty pissed at being called queers.....
as for other profesions my father would be dead today if it wasnt for a man that was 17 once 0 & became a dr. every professional you see was once 17 & im sure they are as happy as pigs in crap, you see one day you'll need one of those QUEERS no matter what you think

I'd say it's pretty clear that someone's just a little bitter that he's not gonna be one of these 'professionals'

Hmmmmmm......... i have read this since it's birth as a thread, not wanting to weigh in.

But here is my 2cents.

The law will be very hard to implement, and not entirely fair to the others that drive respectfully and cherish their vehicles, licence and lives.

I agree with OZ in the fact that the concentration of police being utilized to enforce speed limits is where the problem lies.

If anyone here on the forum has read Motor Magazine for the past year or so will be familiar with editor John Cadogans crusade against the federal government regarding speeding. The fact is that in the past 30 years the road toll has gone down from something like 10.5 deaths per 10,000 people to 1.5 deaths per 10,000.

Yes i was a dickhead when i got my P's as well, but i made one fatal mistake in my 2nd year of my P's and raced on the local freeway. 1 court case later (187 in a 100 zone) to enable me too keep my licence i very quickly realized that life, my licence and the freedom that comes with it is a precious thing. I consider myself lucky that a tyre didn't blow or something else happened like an animal running across the road etc etc. To this point in my driving career that remains the only fine i have had. Not being a hornblower on my own ability but i just learnt and try to be an observant driver.....some other drivers do not.

When u consider the number of P platers and drivers under 20 odd on the roads that figure would be huge. The death toll in relation to that once again would be minimal. I don't mean to sound disrespectful to those who have lost loved ones in fatal road accidents, but in the end they remain a statistic.

Finally, i do beleive that driver education and defensive driving courses should be a compulsory government initiative, because lets face it, if u can afford to buy a car, put fuel in a car, register a car and maintain a car......... YOU SURE AS HELL CAN AFFORD A DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE.

Quote - Turbomini.........." the funny thing is the day after you get off your P's your still the same wreckless fun loving bastard as you were the previous day,

its just you get forgotton about hell i'm more of a wally on the road since ive had my full licence after all its harder to loose it"

As for that statement......... i'll just leave it be
