I'm thinking of doing this to my mini, just wondering if anyone else has done it and what their thoughts were.

I think he could have at least painted the hinges the same colour as the car :lol:

This takes external hinges back about 30 years.

Put the hinges on the door catch side, and put the catch on the hinge side, easy done on a Mini!

oh c'mon guys... give the dude some credit!!!
at least he used brass hinges, not them crappy galvanized ones :lol:
besides.... in one of the pics you can clearly see he has even used a gas strut to hold the weight of the door.
there is hope for the boy yet, he'll be designing airplanes in no time! :roll: :P
