My borther is in the army nd is in charge of 25 APC (armoured personel carriers) they run on the same principle. The tracks have to seperate motors running them. and you have two sticks that you push forward and backwards. They run an engine that powers electric motors. Pretty clever thinking all in all.

Cheers

Aaron

If the engine was fitted with two gearboxes, the movement possibilities would be endless.
You can't tell whether or not the car has a standard engine, or anything in the back.
The electric motor thing would work best for speed and direction control, as well as the increased torque.
