I hear what you are saying, and totally agree....but I don't want 'this car', or rather 'these 2 cars' to be the first ones I paint in 2K.

I have painted quite a few cars in acrylic now, and I am comfortable with it.

I'm getting old and sticking with what I know :P

Although 2K and Acrylic Lacquer require different techniques if you try and follow the proper procedure for painting 2K you might suprise yourself as to how well you can turn something out.

Maybe start with the inside floors first, undercarriage, boot area etc and see how you like it. And remember even if you do make mistakes then you can always rub them out and buff the paint to the same gloss.

That is of course if you have access to a proper paint booth, it can get pretty messy painting 2K in an open garage/Home situation, not to mention the obvious health detriments.

If not go with what you know and have fun!! There is something very romantic about the soft lustre of a well executed Acrylic Lacquer paint job.
