Is there any easy way to disconnect the auxilary spring for removing the rear subframe?

Can they be disconnected at the top rather or do they have to be disconnected at the radius arm?

2 man job.
You need to jam the `bolt' that's inside the spring. Stick a thin screwdriver in thru the top of spring.

:(

Tried doing the screwdriver method today....its not working.

We even tried holding the bolt with a pair of vice grips but its no use.

I think im going to take off the hub and try and get to the split pin. I have a problem there to though. Ive undone all seen bolts except It seems there is a dust cap on the hub which appears to have been there since the jurassic period which im guessing has some nut behind it. Any tips on getting the mofo off?

Just get the 4" angle grinder, and cut the nut off then. Not worth stuffing about with.

Yeah,, the one in the boot you can't get off?
Top of spring..!
Then just lay the spring down horizontal and it'll slide off the bottom.
