Associations like Choice are beating them out of existence - too high in sugar, and not high enough in fibre generally.

Having said that, we make a product called Honey O's (Lowan), you could try that for size. We've got a range of oats and muesli's for the healthy people.

But to be fair - people do need sugar. Its a part of the diet and it provides a quick energy.

Complex sugar is the ultimate result of our digestion and is in all our body cells. Sugar foods just get it to the tissues faster.

Excess of sugar is a different matter.

no i dont have a problem with junk food, but how its marketed..

i read the nutrition panel on every food product i buy

i dont buy diet drinks because they contain artificial sweetners.

anyway check this out

coco pops

36.5 g of sugar per 100g, which is 3x the amount in coca cola.

http://www.kellogg.com.au/DisplayPage.a ... &brandid=5

and i have a packet of kettle chips here im munching on, and it says
75% less saturated fat* on the back in a big panel making it seem with a quick glance that its low fat or something
but looking at the nutrition information, its 34.5g of fat and 2250kj per 100g

i didnt buy them, and like i said i dont have a problem with junk food, but it shouldnt have labels on it making consumers believe they are good for you.

99% fat free comes to mind, its usually on products not commonly containing fat anyway. like your snakes or other lollies which are mostly sugar.

I knew a guy that went for Product Manager role at Kelloggs for Coco-Pops, their two main markets where kids and males aged 18-35.

Nutri Grain is 30% sugar, no wonder it's an "energy" meal.
