Airfilters are pancake type with a coarse mesh painted hammer tone grey. I can send u photos if this helps. Wheels are standard mini 41/2 J, painted black fitted with Cooper wheel trims
Hope this helps

3 1/2 J wheels I think you may have meant to say. The wider Cooper/Clubman S/ GT wheels etc are 4 1/2.

I tried to use a set of Cooper wheel trims on an S rim once, it didn't work as the centers are 1/2 and inch further out with respect to the rim than the standard wheel.

ive not long bought my cooper, and was good reading this thread as it also answered many of my questions! my car is also a 1 saxon green/2 osmond green, body number is 2005, orig engine is 18863 any history on this would be greatly appreciated! my car has had a later interior that is black, also a stock 998, when i had a vic roads check on this car they had no history what so ever, thou thank god its not on any stolen register! hoping this doesnt mean im going to have troubles when it comes to registration time.. iS this an aussie built vehicle, as it will make life a lot easier!
Thanks... Steve

This is the cooper carbs I have here. 12A-309 on the manifold, AUC 1341 (and a small 7)and AUC 1342 (and a small 11).

The float bowls have AUD 99R and AUD99L tags, but I am not sure if they are the correct numbers for a Cooper float bowl tag.

Hi

If you are looking for a manifold be careful about just going by the number, I've seen 3 different types now, all numbered as 12A309P.

1/ As pictured but without the undrilled vacuum takeoff boss (I think I have a spare of this type)

2/ exactly as the one pictured

3/ the type that suits 998 Cooper, has recess for locating rings on head mounting face and the "lugs" that locate on the mounting studs are removed as the locating rings do this job

Cheers
Steve

Thx for the info Mick , the SU carb book lists those tags as being for 1071 Cooper S . The carbs themselves are for Mk1 Cooper S . Could 997 Cooper carbs be same numbers ?? SU book doesnt have a listing for 997 Cooper , only has 998 Cooper .

I think the right one for 997 is like the one in pic but without the undrilled vacuum boss.
see here for exhaustive chart etc on these manifolds-

With this in mind then (and not looking to take the thread) would I be right in guessing the manifold pictured is perhaps from a Midget or Sprite?
