ok, so i want vivian registered asap, so giving her
the general tidy up...
monday
1- replaced frayed seatbelt
2- gave wash and polish and vacume
tuesday
1- replace cracked flares
2- put on new shiny wheel nuts
3- put AUSMINI sticker on back window
4- flush cooling system (it is now nice and green)
5- * reconnected reverse lights wire (wondering why they were
disconnected in the first place  )
wednesday
1- contemplated what i would do on thursday
thursday
1- replaced cotton real mounts at back of rod changer
2- adjusted brakes
3- greased her nipples.......

then i thought i would start her and go for a drive to see how it feels
turn key - oooh altenator light stays on lets go look under
bonnet and see if everything is ok. yep, start car - no blinkers warning lights or
temp fuel guage working
what the....look under car at reverse lights wire and find out
why they were disconnected - there was two completely bare
wires poking out and obviously shorted out a fuse....bugger
friday -
1- re-do reverse lights wire  ....

ps sorry bout the long post, just took the anger
out on my defenceless keyboard!! [/i]

At least it's an easy fix, and you didn't burn out the entire wiring loom. Will be good to see it on the road.

Cheers
Aaron

fingers crossed i will be driving my
lovely lady to the meeting (well i am trying)
i need to get the blue slip next week sometime
so everyone keep their fingers extremely crossed
or maybe someone could suggest a place to take
her for her bluey??

the exhaust thing - someone reccomended janspeed
extractors, but my problem is i really don't
know too much bout exhausts so i need it
spelled out exactly what i need (i was also reccomended a redback
straight through muffler?? but where to get this stuff??)

yeah - would be nice to take a mini to a mini meeting for once...

i know how you feel. just found out that the oil pressure guage in the car has some weird thread that does not mate to any of the adapters in the line kit i got this morning, and i still have to put the exhaust on, do up the driveshaft joints and hope that i have wired it back up properly, then wind the hilos at the front down, adjust the brakes, maybe need to redo the clutch hydraulics, possible bastard leak around the temp sensor to seal. If i have it all done and it works, i'll drop around to have a look at yours on the test drive 8)
