I have been thinking about it myself.. Just a little bit worried about how much abuse my car would get on the track. I don't want to kill it prematurely!

How many laps & races are usually held?

The abuse your car gets is all up to you and how you drive it.
you get one practice of 4 laps... this includes qualifying.
then you get 3 or 4 runs of 4 laps each.
A decent road car should be able to drive there, run all day and drive home.

A lot more accurate than i/you/we could do from the pits.
We can only get a general idea of times from our own timing, and they can easily be misjudged.

Bring yours out to a supersprint and get a time...

no point....

unless there's a button on the stop watch to say..

"Beat a Muira" or "Creamed a Bini"

You've got S discs, they'll be fine.

i need to fit this booster i've got, and i'd like to fit some competition brake pads, i'm not happy with the pedal effort or how quick they fade atmo.
Or i could harden the **** up.. either way :P [mod edit -]

Beanie and I were discussing at work and we both think its quite possibly a busted crankshaft.

Time will really tell, but from the harmonics it had when he started it briefly in the pits... something tells me its a fair bit worse than just bearings.
And the symptoms, it went very noisy in a sudden, not slowly and with warning like bearings typically do.

yeah thats the thing, with drums i had a really good feel for how much brakes i had, and they had a positive feel, you really know whats going on,
with the unassisted discs, they feel lifeless and i have no confidence in them being able to stop me in time, i keep pressing and pressing and not much happens until i am applying ****loads of pressure on the pedal..
much like a go kart really.

any news on beanies motor?

So here the problem

So all those who picked crank you win
also have a damaged piston.... so won't be to bad to get fixed

Spaceboy my race car has cooper s disks unboosted and with the same EBC Black stuff pads im now doing a 1.33 and the brakes don't even look like fading ...

Guess it could have been heaps worse

the thing that amazed me is that you could still start is and have it idle noisie but it would idle..
