Greetings,

I am thinking of painting my '65 deluxe in the Subaru WRX metallic blue with a silver roof and bonnet stripes.

If anyone has a WRX can you give me the paint code?

Need the blue code and the silver code please.

(if it's painted like a subaru does it go like one?)

I found this on the net, do you know the specific colour you want?

Thanks - this is a good start! Here am I thinking there was one blue!!!

It looks as if "02C WR Blue" has been used on the WRX although subaru.com.au list the current colour as "WR Blue Mica". Could be the same. Some sites indicates 02C is a 'pearl' paint

Is it a real pearl? Will be hard enough getting a metallic right, let alone a pearl.

The decision has come down to blue or red and there is red mini K around the corner in the same colour red, so I have gone off that colour a little.

Classic Minis deserve classic colours... My shallow view anyway.

Dream Blue - about the worst shade of blue I have seen.

willy - totally agree and I have been down this road with the Monaro. This car was bought as a bitsa and missing so many original items there is no way it could be brought back as true 'classic'.

Mason - from what I can find the Pro drive blue was current from the mid 90's up until 2000 and was a darker shade than current cars.

02C - WRC Blue is the one.

Yes it is a pearl, and it's f***ing expensive. Love the colour though.

MMMMM - that changes things a bit.

Did have a look through the colour chart and found a similar blue metallic that i can make up in acrylic with a clearcoat. It is going to be a home spray job and I am used to using acrylic , although the last one was 2 pac and came out OK :)
