I agree and its exactly what I meant - everybodys level (whether of speed or alcohol) flactuates and youre sometimes over the limit. Idealy we would all drive slowly and dont touch alcohol and really we bloody better do it coz a car is a deadly weapon. But this is unrealistic, people naturaly break the rules, its wrong, but thats what we do, the law has to be tough and uncompromising to cater for everything and provide a detterent, but really its up to the individual person to drive carefuly and know their limits.

But if it did appear that I was bragging about drink driving, I'm sorry, I really dont think its funny or cool.

wanna talk about stupid drivers hows this 40 odd ton of truck trailer and load ........ going along the new england hwycome across a car doing 85 in 100 zone go to over take get nearly past the car (car is at my trailer axels ) another car comes over a rise about 700 to 800 meters away i put my blinker on , car speeds up and holds me out on the wronge side of the rd i slow **** slow's i had to lock the wheels up on the trailer to get back over so i would not have a head on later on after sitting behind this moron and thinding a safe place to over take tried again all going well get to the end of the over taking lane and they speed up and ran down the break down lane i had the crap's by this time so decided to stop at a truck stop to have a coffe and settle down they pull in behind me abuse me so i go to grab the door and they piss of so i go have a coffe relax ... ok back on the rd get to tamworth police car pulls up ask's if i had a incisent with a car tell em what happens now waiting to hear back from the police

Ay makka, I have every sympathy for ya. Trucks deserve a lot more respect (especially coz ya could have just pulled over the top of em).

I've had some incidents with trucks blasting through roundabouts, but if I see em coming I let em go. They have enough bullshit to put up with without having to wait for one car. I commend ya on how you dealt with the situation. Hopefully the Police dont end up giving ya any grief about it.

I forgot to mention the scariest episode I had with a truck. I'd been stuck behind it for about half an hour sitting on 80 k's, coming through the windy section of road bypassing Bundaberg. Anyways, finally on a straight section of road I saw him flick his indicator on, and thought he was letting me past. It was only as I was halfway up the trailer, I realised he was turning into the next servo, and i was gonna be squished if I didnt get a move on. Ended up working out sweet, but the ole pucker valve was certainly getting some exercise.
