So the platinum inside my catalytic converter is shot and now it just rattles around as i drive - PITA. :evil:

How are the catalytic converters made? Could i unscrew it, open it up, get the crap out then seal it up again and Bob's your uncle?

If i can't open it, can i get the crap out some other way?

or take it out and chuck it and put some straight through pipe in instead.

You can take them apart and take out the honeycomb or buy a new refill

It is for any car that was complied in Australia with them. If the car wasnt it isnt.

How could you harm this?

I've seen footage of baby harp seals getting clubbed to death annually, but not seen them die from pollution in such numbers... :lol:
