Can anyone confirm this statement?

"Changes to 15 year old regulations announced and due to these changes no Mini's made after 31st December 1988 our now eligible for import."

If this is true, what does this mean? Can I import a late model mini and register it?

thats correct, and it applies to all cars under sevs. however from my understanding if the car was sold here new, than you cant import that car, you can however register it for race use.

This is typical industry running the country. The local car makers lobby the Govt. to place these bans so we enthusiasts cant import and drive, so must buy local cars new. Then the Car makers send their profits off shore. What A Rip

Unfortunatly there are to few of us to fight back.

Next the Govt say we are loosing our skill base and dont realise they have legislated the interest in all things mechanical out of our lives!! Plain dumb suits making dumb decisions to keep their job.
