The car I picked up yesterday seems to lack power, it's 1100 has twin 1"1/4 carbs just wondering if it might be running way to rich, would that cause a lack of power?

It just seems to get bogged down on lower revs at speed it seems ok.

Could be a number of things, black smoke would indicate rich otherwise check for vacuum leaks.

If it has Ramflo sports filters, check the foam pads are not clogged.
Unifilter makes a better replacement foam pad, p/no LNX300.
Around 9 bux each. :D

Ah OK they look like the old Warneford type.
As said check filters are not clogged... replace if they are.
See Unifilter for new foam if they are Warnefords.
