i'd say looking period is a good point, personally i think any other seat then a mini seat in a mini looks out of place. restall bucket seats are really hard to get and expensive too.
my sisters 850 has the original seats, and i agree with you they are great. i love the look of them being standard etc, wouldnt dream of changing them.
but i'd say you cant really compare until you've driven in a seat like the one i made. your hips slide around more then you might think. and im sure your dads suzi swift has cloth seats, and your cloths stick to cloth easier then they do to vinyl.

Yeah, I agree, before I fitted a Cobra Trophy seat and a harness I used to go around Wakefield Pk hanging on with one hand and steering with the other- it was hard keeping all the young Mini hotshots behind me.... :lol:
